Located on the edge of the tropical rain forest, near the village of Tajo Alto and the small city of Miramar, here in the pleasant climate at 600 m above sea level on the Pacific side of Costa Rica, Finca El Mirador offers you an exciting and at the same time relaxing vacation. „El Mirador”, the view point keeps what it name promises: Enjoy the magnificent view to the Gulf of Nicoya, the seaport of Puntarenas and the mountain tropical rain forest.
Our finca is equipped with two cabins, a fancy woodhouse, swimmingpool and palm tree covered terrasse. Or just relax at our pool, from the great view from here. Let the day pass by admiring the picturesque and romantic sunset. Later on the tropical sky will show you the most beautiful stars.
The bungalows
You will feel at home in our lovingly furnished bungalows. The bungalows are equipped with a big bedroom with a double and a single bed, shower (warm water)/WC, kitchen and a terrasse. Mosquito nets and hammocks are available.
Why Montes de Oro?
Only 30 minutes from the Harbour City Puntarenas and its beaches has Montes de Oro all requirements to make itself an ecellent tourist attraction.
The beauty of the landscape with its spectacular views over the Gulf of Nicoya, the different micro climates in short distances, the biodiversity, the different kind of birds, mammals and butterflies- species that even Monte Verde can´t offer anymore- the flora, the cloudforest in all its brightness, the natural reservation area Manuel Brenes (30 minutes away from us) and Montes de Oro, the different kinds of adventure sports, the relaxing horse back riding through the mountains and not to forget: the great hospitality of the Oromontanos, all this makes Montes de Oro a paradise. The University of Costa Rica wants to built because of that an observatory in Cedral.
