CABINAS LA TRANQUILIDAD is a small beachfront resort on the Pacific Ocean. There are 3 cabinas and a house. Each can be rented separately at daily or weekly rates. The rates quoted are for 2 persons in an individual cabina. Add $10 per night for each additional person. One cabina sleeps 2; the other 2 cabinas each sleep 6. Variation in rates depends on the season. The 3 cabinas can be combined at weekly rates, accommodating a total of 14 people. The fully-equipped kitchen is located in an adjacent building. The 3 cabinas can also be combined with the house at weekly rates for a total capacity of 20. The house, with 2 sleeping areas, will sleep 6. It can also be rented at daily or weekly rates. The tranquil cabinas are located on the small island of Palo Seco. The Pacific Ocean is at the front of the property, and the wide Estuary is at the back. Isla Palo Seco is only about 9 km long and 400 meters wide.
Much of the time the only sounds at CABINAS LA TRANQUILIDAD are the ocean waves combined with the songs of tropical birds, or the chirping of the small lizards, frogs and salamanders at night. It is just beginning to be noticed by tourists, so there may be no one else on the wide volcanic black sand beach. The ocean is excellent for surfing. The beach is wonderful for shelling, walking, sunbathing, biking, fishing, or swimming. The sunrises and sunsets over the ocean on this south-facing island are truly magnificent. There are coconut palms, mango, almond, lemon, guanabana, and cashew trees for guests to enjoy. Giant sea turtles come ashore to lay their eggs in the sand during part of the Green Season.
